Sheet Music Maestro is live, with a large dose of Early American sheet music for your perusal and download — all free. The collection is catalogued by contributor, category (ballad, waltz, polka, etc), culture of origin (five continents represented), instrument (piano, violin, guitar, horn, glockenspieland more), city of publication, and notation.

Get ready for an early American music revival!

Or, just enjoy some old melodies. Especially timely are the patriotic tunes, in case you want to pull out the guitar on the Fourth of July.

Some of the titles you’ll probably recognize — there’s a lot of Stephen Foster tunes, like Oh! Susanna, Old Folks at Home, and classics like the Star Spangled Banner and Yankee Doodle. There are folk favorites like Auld Lang Syne, Soldiers Joy, and Danny Boy, as well as folk songs from a big variety of other cultures — Jewish, Basque, Japanese, French, Greek, and a number of others.

Please let us know if you find any of these pieces useful for your playing, or if there are types of old sheet music you’d like find.
